Used, open-box, and refurbished scooters need regular checks. EcoHive content can help with ownership basics, but it is not a substitute for official manuals or qualified repair when safety is involved.
Regular checks
- Tire pressure and tread condition.
- Brake lever feel and stopping behavior.
- Folding latch and stem security.
- Charger cable and charge port condition.
- Display warnings and app messages.
- Unusual noise, vibration, heat, or smell.
Wear items
Tires, tubes, grips, brake pads, cosmetic wear, and normal wear are maintenance items. They are not covered by EcoHive's 30-day electronic-components-only warranty unless a listing states a specific exception.
When to get help
Stop riding and contact support if brakes feel unsafe, the stem is loose, the scooter will not charge safely, the battery area overheats, or repeated error codes appear.
